including Delivery, Collection and Returns Policy

Please read these terms and conditions carefully. By accessing our site or using our services, you acknowledge that you understand, agree, and are bound by these terms.

At our discretion, we may edit this agreement. The date at the top of this section indicates when these Terms and conditions were last amended.

We are an online only business offering home doorstep delivery or local pick-up to customers in the Merseyside region from the postcode areas listed below.

Order by 6pm Thursday to qualify for Friday delivery/collection as outlined below.

 

Home Doorstep Delivery 

    • £3 or free for orders over £30
    • Deliveries are usually between 8.30am - 1pm

Liverpool:

Where: L1 to L31 and L37 to L38

When: Every Friday

 

Wirral:

Where: CH41 to CH49 and CH60 to CH63

When: 2nd Friday of the month

 

Free Click & Collect

Where:

  • Crosby Coffee Roast House, 2 Oxford Rd, Waterloo, Liverpool L22 8QF
  • Crosby Coffee Roast House, 62 Lark Lane, Liverpool L17 8UP 

When: Every Friday, items ready to collect from 11am

Simply select your delivery method at the checkout and your order will be delivered in line with the schedule above, unfortunately at this moment our technology is not sophisticated enough to confirm your delivery date at the checkout or on your order confirmation email.

If for any reason we need to change our delivery or collection times we will contact you via e-mail.

For doorstep delivery, your order will be left on the doorstep unless you specify instructions in the notes at checkout. We cannot accept any responsibility for the items once they have been delivered to your doorstep or safe place.

If we need to gain access to your property please leave instructions in the notes at checkout. If for any reason we are unable to gain access or follow your instructions we will do our best to rearrange delivery, alternatively we can refund the value of the goods but you will still be charged for delivery.

 

 

 

 

Bottle return

Just like the milkman, we will gladly take back empty glass bottles and plastic jerry cans so they can be reused to prevent waste. To reduce our carbon footprint we prefer to collect empties when we deliver your future orders, rather than make a special trip. Just pop them on the doorstep where we can see them on the morning of your delivery. Alternatively, you can drop your empties at our click & collect locations listed above.

 

Prices

All prices are subject to change without prior warning. We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the service without notice. We shall not be liable for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the service.

 

Orders

All products are subject to availability, we will endeavour to fulfill your order completely, however if we are unable to do so you will be refunded in full for any missing items.

We reserve the right to cancel any order that is not economically viable for us to fulfill or that we feel poses any risk to our staff.

 

Payment

Orders must be paid in full at point of purchase. 

Our Brands and Products

We want to support a better future for us and for our planet so when we source products, we look for suppliers who align with our mission to reduce waste and who care about our planet. Natural ingredients, ethically sourced products, independent run businesses are just some of the things we look out for…basically we love businesses who are trying to do some good and do the right thing.

Some of the brands we stock include: Miniml, Blooming Eco, Eco Living, Eco Vibe, Non plastic beach, Taylor Made Refills, Eco coconut, Loofco, Toilet Fizzies.

The Unwaste do not manufacture any of the products we sell.  Our primary refill supplier is Miniml who make the liquids in the Yorkshire Dales and are proudly independent and family owned. All products comply with all relevant testing/safety legislation. All formulations are readily biodegradable, vegan, cruelty free and paraben free. They offer a completely zero waste closed loop supply chain where every container is reused and refilled. To find out more about miniml and the ingredients they use click here.

It is your responsibility to check that you do not have any allergies to the ingredients in any of our products before you buy and that you test the product before use. Product information is available on our website but please contact us if you have any further questions and we’ll do our best to help or direct you to the manufacturers website. Use caution and common sense with cleaning products, our products are not safe to be consumed in any way. It is your responsibility to ensure that you read the safety information on our product labels and follow instructions for use. Theunwaste.com is not responsible for any personal health, allergies, incidents, or mishaps as a result of using any of our products. 

All descriptions of products or product pricing are subject to change at anytime without notice, at the sole discretion of us. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time. Product photos shown on website or social media may vary slightly from products ordered/delivered.

Storing and handling liquids

Liquids are best kept stored away from direct sunlight or heat sources (such as radiators). 

We recommend decanting your refill liquids into appropriate, clean containers (we recommend ones which have been used for the same type of product to avoid contamination and should have appropriate labelling including hazard/safety warnings). We also discourage the use of glassware in wet areas for your own health & safety.

Please be careful when handling glass bottles to avoid accidents, always check the screw lids are tightened securely when handling our glass refill bottles. The Unwaste is not responsible for any mishandling or accidents that may happen after your order has been delivered.

Be sure to keep your cleaning fluids far out of reach from children and pets.  Our toilet cleaner refills are supplied with child proof caps in line with trading standards.

 

Our Packaging Policy

When it comes to packaging we do our best to prevent waste going to landfill, here’s the guidelines we follow:

  1. Always aim for zero packaging.
  2. Where packaging is needed we aim for reusable or we re-purpose stuff we already have.
  3. If we can’t reuse we aim for recyclable or compostable.

Our household liquid refills are supplied in glass bottles or plastic jerry cans which are intended for decanting purposes into appropriate containers. If you order accessories, we may deliver these in a recyclable paper bag so that the items are not visible to passers by if left on the doorstep.

We operate a closed loop system so we ask that you rinse and return empty  containers so we can use them again and again. We do not do this to make a profit as we invest time and energy to ensure bottles are pristine for future use, we do this in a bid to reduce the impact that single use has on our planet.  Simply leave empty bottles or jerry cans on the doorstep when you’re due a delivery and we’ll pick them up. Just make sure we can see them and be careful not to confuse your milkman! Alternatively, drop them off at our click & collect locations.

Our Returns Policy

We hope you are happy with your order, but if there is an issue please feel free to contact us and we’ll do our best to resolve it. Due to the nature of the products supplied we cannot accept any returns unless faulty.
